This is one of my more favorite albums. Hard to say that with all the different ones I have done.
This album falls in the 'more melodic, song based, with a mix of Arabic instruments, electronics, and odd devices.'
For instance, I special ordered a duduk, which is a double-reed wind instrument from the mid-east. Really tough to play and sounds so gorgeous. You can hear it on the song "Asana."

A friend from a previous band, Will Moore, appears on "Will Power" with a loop he provided to me in the late 90s.

Many stringed Arabic instruments, doumbek, violin, location recordings I made in Morocco and Egypt, modular synths that my brother made. I even sing little.

"Rabat Strikers" has a location recording of many men marching in Rabat, Morocco, protesting their conditions. We were warned to stay away, so I got close to record their song of protest.
